Deveney’s Beer Festival set for Augsut 19th
Beer enthusiasts will have the opportunity to experience a vast range of products whilst sampling mouth-watering cuisine from specialist artisan vendors such as Siam Thai and Hog Roast. Irish bluegrass band The Cujo Family and Irish rock band The Folksmen will also perform at the Festival.
Festival Founder and Owner of Deveney’s Off-Licence in South Dublin’s Dundrum district Ruth Deveney said, “Off-licenses and small breweries across the country have been battling to stay afloat in recent years as the market continues to be saturated by large multinational retailers. Many alcohol and beer consumers are completely unaware that there is a vast range of quality beers available beyond the commercial brands. This festival allows small and medium-sized breweries and traders to promote their offerings. It also encourages consumers to explore a range of beers beyond canned commercial larger”.
The event is a ticket-only event, limited to 1,500 attendees, priced at €20 each. Tickets are available from specialist off-licences including Deveney’s, The Vintry in Rathgar, Redmond’s of Ranelagh, Deveney’s of Rathmines, Jus de Vin in Portmarnock and Sweeney’s of Glasnevin.
“This festival differs from other beer festivals as it showcases specialist beers from all over the world,” said Ruth, “If you are either serious or inquisitive about the craft beer industry, this event should not be missed.”
