Culloden Estate & Spa named best hotel spa in Northern Ireland

This acknowledgment comes in the wake of a €287,000 investment in a spa renovation project at the hotel

€1.15 million has been invested into the spa within the past three years

Culloden Estate & Spa has secured the title of Northern Ireland’s best hotel spa at the World Spa Awards.

It shares the limelight with renowned hotels from around the world, including the Mandarin Oriental, Bürgenstock Alpine Spa in Switzerland and Palazzo Fiuggi in Italy.

This recognition follows a €287,000 spa renovation initiative at the hotel, which introduced enhancements like a new nail bar and pedicure facility, improvements to the swimming pool area, and a complete revamp of the ladies’ changing facilities.

In 2020 a €861,000 investment programme from Hastings Hotels saw the introduction of a new linear vitality pool and a Tylarium at the Spa at Culloden, as well as a new couples’ treatment room and two additional pedicure treatment rooms.

This brings the total to €1.15 million invested in the spa in the past three years.

Niamh Rice, spa manager, Spa at Culloden, said: “We have continued to invest heavily across the Culloden Estate and are proud to offer a luxurious haven for people to switch off, relax and recharge.”

Rebecca Cohen, managing director, World Spa Awards, said:“The spa and wellness industry is experiencing sustained growth, evident in the calibre of nominees in our 2023 programme. All winners have shown dedication to delivering exceptional spa and wellness experiences and we are excited to share these achievements with the world.”
