Smithwick’s launches Pale Ale extension

Smithwick’s has introduced Smithwick’s Pale Ale, the first addition to the Smithwick’s range since 1983.

Craft brewed in individual batches using the finest ingredients: aromatic Amarillo hops, 100 per cent pale ale malt and Smithwick’s yeast,  Smithwick’s Pale Ale presents a fuller-tasting beer with a long finish, rich golden colour and a creamy head.

“Its unique ingredient combination gives it a distinctive flavour profile, differentiating it from other craft beers currently available,” claims Ciara Keenan, Assistant Brand Manager for  Smithwick’s at Diageo Ireland, who added, “Consumers have told us that they want a more full-bodied taste and with its robust, satisfying flavour, Smithwick’s Pale Ale very much meets this need.”

Available in 350 outlets nationwide in draught and bottle format from early this month, Smithwick’s Pale Ale is being supported by an extensive marketing and advertising campaign giving pub-goers and beer enthusiasts the opportunity to sample the brand extension at selected venues nationwide.

One of Ireland’s oldest and most iconic brands, Smithwick’s is outperforming the market and has been consistently growing its market share for the past two years. The brand celebrated 300 years of brewing last year.
