Jameson named “Spirits Brand of the Year” in the US
Jameson Irish Whiskey was awarded the ‘Market Watch Spirit Brand of the Year’ in the US. The award was presented to Chairman and Chief Executive of Pernod Ricard USA Paul Duffy recently at the annual Market Watch Leaders Dinner in New York.
In its acknowledgment of the award, Market Watch said, “This year’s Spirit Brand of the Year is a brand that, simply put, built a category”. The annual award is voted on by a group of more than 200 active retail leaders from across 52 states.
Sales of Jameson have increased by 700,000 cases in the US since 1995 and today Jameson holds 72 per cent of the Irish Whiskey category there. The recipient of nine consecutive ‘Hot Brand’ awards from Impact magazine, ranked 33rd in its top global brands and rising, Jameson is the leading driver of Irish whiskey growth in the US.
