New release of Shortcross Cask Aged Gin

County Down’s Rademon Estate Distillery recently released a new batch of its international award-winning limited edition Shortcross Cask Aged Gin with a limited number of bottles now available across the UK & Ireland.

The first batch was successfully released earlier last year and due to the unprecedented demand for this new Shortcross expression, it was decided to release another in the run-up to Christmas, “… providing us with the perfect opportunity to offer a unique product and gift during the festive period,” commented David Boyd-Armstrong, Head Distiller and Operations Director.

To create this limited edition, Shortcross Gin was rested in French oak casks from Chateau de La Ligne in Bordeaux previously containing the Chateau Cuvee Prestige wine. David hand-picked the casks with the help of chateau-owner Terry Cross of Wine Geese fame.

Earlier last year the distillery launched its first batch of 44%ABV Shortcross Cask Aged Gin exclusively through London retail partner Fortnum & Mason where it featured as Spirit of the Month. It sold out in less than 10 days, becoming one of the best-selling Spirits of the Month for the luxury retailer.

It also won numerous accolades at this year’s International Wine & Spirits Competition and The Spirits Business Gin Masters.

Shortcross Cask Aged Gin is available through Counterpoint Ireland.
