LVA & VFI endorse merger proposal

Both the Licensed Vintners Association and the Vintners Federation of Ireland have endorsed a proposal to merge the two organisations.

The decision was taken at two separate Council meetings of the LVA and of the VFI which overwhelmingly endorsed the proposed merger.

The proposal will now be put to a vote of all members in September/October with a strong recommendation to merge from the respective Councils.

In a joint statement, the two organisations said, “This is a hugely positive development and is in the best long-term interests of the licensed trade and its suppliers”.
