Heineken Lager reports 4.1% lift in global sales

Global sales volumes at Heineken nv fell by 2.3 per cent in the first six months of the company’s financial year, from 78 million Hectolitres to 68 million Hectolitres, while sales of its Heineken brand around the world grew by 4.1 per cent.
While recorded revenue grew from €7.1 million to €7.5 million, organically the company recorded a revenue drop of two per cent although net profits grew 5.7 per cent, claims the company.
The Irish figures are not broken out from this H1 report other than a mention in the context of Western European sales: “Beer volume was lower due to the effect of high unemployment levels, a weak on-trade and unfavourable weather, especially in the UK and Ireland”.
