Josh Smith’s entire professional career has been dedicated to the bar and drinks industry, with 10 years working in the cocktail bar scene in the UK in every role from backbar to bartender to general manager and as a consultant for new bar ventures and high-level events. Most recently he worked for three years in sales for Edrington Beam Suntory in London representing numerous world-famous spirits brands. Cocktails and bartending have been one of his life’s passions and as an Ambassador for the SPI spirits portfolio and Thomas Henry premium mixers he’ll work with the team to bring these award-winning, globally-recognised brands to life in the Irish market.

Aslan Wheeler will be working with brands such as the London Essence Company, Pearse Lyons Distillery and Plantation Rum.

Aslan Wheeler started working in bars and over the years has worked in various sales positions as well as at festivals (briefly running his own juice bar) and in telecoms/business account management. His dream was to own a cocktail bar so he refocused his career and furthered his training in mixology. His dream took shape as he created Cocktails & Cures, a custom-made mobile cocktail bar company, targeting private parties, weddings, corporate events and festivals. With the trend for NoLo and premiumisation on the rise he’s starting a new adventure with Counterpoint Ireland and working with brands such as the London Essence Company, Pearse Lyons Distillery and Plantation Rum.
