Tipperary Water – ‘Official Mineral Water’ to FAI

Tipperary Water has become ‘Official Mineral Water’ to the FAI.

Over 100,000 bottles of it will be consumed over the course of the sponsorship and Tipperary Water Coolers have already been installed in the FAI’s Abbotstown  Headquarters.

As an FAI partner, Tipperary Water can have the FAI logo displayed on non-sports bottles as well as having the Tipperary Water logo on the FAI website.  Part of Tipperary’s distribution fleet will also be branded with the FAI logo.
The brand will develop a range of marketing activities to include in-store promotions in the multiples and symbols to leverage the sponsorship.

Social Media will also play a large part in the agreement, one of a number of new initiatives that will unfold over the next few months.

At the launch in the Portmarnock Hotel recently, Tipperary Water Director Marie Cooney said, “This is a unique marketing opportunity for Tipperary Water to be involved as a partner with the FAI as ‘official mineral water sponsor’ and it will give us lots of opportunities to showcase our brand. We see this as a strong strategic fit to drive awareness of our brand amongst players and supporters of the Number One sport in the country”.

Alongside all other activities Tipperary Water will be supplying the FAI Emerging Talent Programme with water and over 180,000 people play football in Irish Football Clubs and schools.  It has already supplied water to the John Giles Walk of Dreams back in May.

With over 450,000 participants, football is the largest sport in the country and last year, 10 of the 20 most-watched sports events in Ireland were football events.

Tipperary Water celebrated its 25th Anniversary last year.
