Focus on women in the drinks Industry
The March April issue of Drinks Industry Ireland focuses on some of the amazing women working in the Irish drinks industry and we shine a light on the importance of initiatives linked to International Women’s Day that are benefitting women in the sector.
Our main interview this month is with head distiller for Roe & Co, Lora Hemy. She speaks about her impressive career to date in the whiskey industry and names the many female mentors she has learned from and been supported by along the way. We also speak to couple Anna and Orla Snook O’Carroll who have launched Ireland’s first vermouth and are on the cusp of launching Valentia Island Vermouth in the US.
Meanwhile we have Compass Group Ireland unveiling an industry-first specially designed maternity chef jacket and Molson Coors announcing a new Irish Equal Parent Leave Policy which will entitle all new parents to up to 52 weeks of leave regardless of gender. This is great for women but really for families in general.
Elsewhere we hear from Richard Molloy, third generation of Molloys Liquor Stores on one of their stores winning the NOffLA Off-Licence of the Year Award.
This issue is also packed with insights into the vodka, cider, mixers and bottled beer categories.
Hope you enjoy the latest issue.
