Steady turnover at Molloy Holdings

Molloy Holdings enjoyed a relatively steady turnover of €20.3 million in the financial year to 31st January 2016 according to the Companies Office. The turnover figure was up slightly on the €20.1 million figure the previous year.

The group, which owns the Molloy’s Off-licence chain as well as a number of pubs and other outlets, also reduced operating losses from €893,216 to just €17,576 with the removal of some €700,000 from ‘Administrative Expenses’ from the previous year.

As a result, the company registered a pre-tax profit of €105,301 compared to a loss of nearly €1.1 million the previous year.

Staff costs for the year accounted for €3.1 million, up 6% from €2.9 million the previous year for a staff quotient slightly increased from 117 to 122. Of these, bar, off-licence and catering staff saw a rise in numbers from 94 to 101.

Remuneration for the four directors totalled €257,154, down from €291,582.
