Rascals Brewing Company launches lime-infused Mexican-style lager
Rascals Brewing Company has recently shared the details of a brand new beer.

Chido will be distributed through Grand Cru Beers
Say hi to Chido, a crisp Mexican-style lager brewed in Dublin with a distinctive twist: it’s made with real lime zest, meaning the subtly refreshing citrus character is built directly into the beer itself.
The idea behind Chido was simple: Mexican lagers, such as Corona, Sol and Modelo, have become hugely popular worldwide, but they’ve also become closely associated with the extra step of adding a lime wedge.
With Chido, it wanted to solve that problem by brewing the lime into the beer from the start.
The result is a bright, mainstream 4% ABV lager with subtle citrus notes, a light malt base, and a crisp, refreshing finish.
It delivers the character drinkers expect, without needing to add anything to the bottle.
Chido is all about:
> An independent Irish take on a Mexican-style lager
> Real lime zest brewed directly into the beer, so no wedge is needed.
> Easy, affordable drinking that still delivers on quality
The beer is designed to be easy-going and sociable; it’s perfect for beer gardens, festivals, and pairing with food.
The launch will be supported by a lively digital campaign and collaborations with some of Dublin’s best Mexican food spots to celebrate the natural pairing between Chido and great food.
It has also teamed up with two popular Ireland content creators for some fun videos, keep an eye on Reels and TikTok.
Chido will proudly sit on fridge shelves in supermarkets, independent off-licences and groups.
The lager will also enter the on-trade after the launch phase in May.
Chido will be distributed through Grand Cru Beers.
Emma Devlin, general manager and co-founder of Rascals Brewing, says, “Chido represents a strategic step forward for Rascals.
“We’ve built our reputation on bold, flavour-driven beers, but we also recognise that today’s drinkers want versatility and something that fits more occasions.
“By applying the same standards we bring to our core range, we’re creating a beer that’s more accessible while still firmly rooted in our independent brewing ethos.
“It’s about broadening our reach in a considered way, responding to evolving consumer habits, particularly among younger drinkers, and bringing our brewing expertise into a more mainstream space without compromising on quality or identity.”
