PressUp powers profits

Pre-tax profits jumped 91% at Orsen Ltd, parent company to PressUp Entertainment (which operates 12 bars, restaurants and hotels around Dublin city centre) from €987,000 in 2014 to €1.89 million in the year to the 31st December 2015.

The Liquor Rooms, Perluke & Periwig and Union Café on Dublin’s south side number among the group’s outlets and turnover at the group – owned by Paddy McKillen (Jnr) and Matt Ryan – was up substantially, by 36%, to €42.9 million.

Group Operating Profit, at €2.49 million, saw an increase of 93% on the 2014 figure.

The group, one of the largest leisure and hospitality groups in Ireland, employed 666 staff in 2015, a rise of 143 on 2014, with staff costs (including directors’ salaries) running to €13.5 million, up from 2014’s figure of €10.8 million.
