Pre-tax profits fall at Copper’s

Pre-tax profits at Dublin nightclub Copper Face Jack’s parent company Breanagh Catering fell 35.5% to €2.5 million in the year to the 31st of January 2020 from €3.8 million the previous financial year.

 

Revenue at Breanagh Catering was down 12% to €11.6 million from €13.2 million in the year to the 31st of January 2020.

Revenue, too, was down 12% to €11.6 million from €13.2 million as Operating Profits for the Cathal and Paula Jackson-owned enterprise dropped by 33% to €2.4 million from €3.7 million.

Breanagh’s Bar & Nightclub business took in €10,097,523 (down 14% from the previous year’s €11.7 million) while its accommodation business saw income of €1,528,636, slightly down on the figure for the previous financial year.

Including the two directors,  the operation employed 173, down 10 on the previous year. This left the company with a wages and salaries bill of €3,991,759, down 7% on the previous year’s figure of €4,296,538.

Remuneration for the two directors came to €485,142, down 12.5% on the €554,764 figure for the previous year.
