Operating profits down 18% at Coppers

Operating Profits fell 18% to €5.6 million for the year to 31st January 2014 at Breanagh Catering, the company behind the Jackson Court Hotel which houses the extremely successful ‘Copper Faced Jacks’ nightclub.

Pre-tax profits for the year were declared at €1,148,956, down from €1,465,130.

Net cash inflow from operations was down 6% from €6.5 million to €6.2 million.

Salaries for the two Directors (Cathal & Paula Jackson) also came down to €611,786 from over €1 million in 2013 so that net funds at 31st January 2014 had risen 7% to €46.4 million from €43.0 million the previous year.

Employment too went up to 193 from 188 at the hotel and nightclub, which together with the directors’ salaries cost Breanagh Catering €4.16 million, down from €4.17 million the previous year.
