The first execution in the new campaign featuring the brand’s new tagline ‘Open Your World’ got its TV launch at half-time during the Ireland vs England rugby game.
The 60-second ad both intrigues the viewer and provides a sting in the tail.
“This campaign flips the status quo and depicts the great stories that come about when consumers go to great lengths for their Heineken,” explained Heineken Ireland’s Marketing Director Walter Drenth, “Being open to new experiences can lead to legendary stories you share with others. This was the beginning of the thought journey that led to the creation of ‘Brief Encounter’.
The commercial was shot in South Africa.
