Handy foodservice guide to re-opening services

Over 30 Irish businesses are included in the Irish Foodservice Supplier Alliance’s new ‘flip-book’ to help the foodservice Industry respond to Covid-19 going forward.

“Every solution in this book is specific to the challenges now facing us as we adjust to trading in Phase 3 of the Re-Opening of our country," says the IFSA.

“Every solution in this book is specific to the challenges now facing us as we adjust to trading in Phase 3 of the Re-Opening of our country,” says the IFSA.

The IFSA cites recent research conducted by Easy Food magazine which found that 84% of the 8,000 people surveyed in Ireland now plan to eat out as often, if not more often, than they did before Covid-19 restrictions were put in place.

The survey also found 95% in agreement that it’s extremely important to support Irish restaurants, bars and food suppliers. 40% missed going out for food and drink far more than they thought they would.

The IFSA has recognised that not only are the Covid-19 challenges facing the foodservice industry in response to the expected demand immense, but the solutions to overcome them can seem daunting at best.

As a result it has compiled a handy guide of Irish companies  “providing real, tangible solutions to the re-opening of any foodservice business”.

These re-opening solutions vary from air-purifiers to biodegradable single-use containers, states the IFSA adding, “every solution in this book is specific to the challenges now facing us as we adjust to trading in Phase 3 of the Re-Opening of our country.”

The flip-book, Reopening Solutions, can also be found on the CATEX 2021 website.
