Four in a row for Glouthane’s Elm Tree
The winner of the best One-Day-Only carvery was Harvey’s Point Hotel in Loch Eske, County Donegal.
Launched in 2010 the all-island competition, now in its fifth year, seeks Ireland’s best pub and hotel carvery.
The Public House of the Year provincial winners are the Dinn Rí Carlow (Leinster); the Elm Tree, Cork (Munster); Henry’s Bar and Restaurant, Sligo (Connacht) and The Fiddlers in Carrickmacross (Ulster).
Provincial winners in the Hotel of the Year category are the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan (Leinster); the Castle Hotel, Macroom (Munster); the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill (Connacht) and the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny (Ulster).
Each of the winning venues will receive PR to the value of €2,500 and marketing support valued at €2,000 for each venue. The winners’ prize also includes a specially-commissioned wall plaque to remind customers that they are about to sit down and enjoy the best carvery in Ireland.
