Alongside it, the Castle Hotel in Macroom won the Great Carvery Hotel of the Year at Unilever Foodservice Solutions’ Great Carvery of the Year Grand Final at the Herbert Park Hotel in Dublin today.

The Public House of the Year provincial winners are the Dinn Rí Carlow (Leinster); the Elm Tree, Cork (Munster); Henry’s Bar and Restaurant, Sligo (Connacht) and The Fiddlers in Carrickmacross (Ulster).

Provincial winners in the Hotel of the Year category are the Bracken Court Hotel, Balbriggan (Leinster); the Castle Hotel, Macroom (Munster); the Galway Bay Hotel, Salthill (Connacht) and the Silver Tassie Hotel, Letterkenny (Ulster).

Each of the winning venues will receive PR to the value of €2,500 and marketing support valued at €2,000 for each venue. The winners’ prize also includes a specially-commissioned wall plaque to remind customers that they are about to sit down and enjoy the best carvery in Ireland.
