Event diary update for May
As spring arrives, the trade is as busy as ever with portfolio tastings and generic events. Here are some of the scheduled events for the month ahead.
Vins de Copains Trade & Consumer Tasting
- Dublin 15 May at Note in Fenian Street
- Cork 16 May at l’Atitude 51
- Galway 18 May at Universal Gastro Pub
Vins de Copains is a tasting that joins three importers of natural wines, Brian’s Wines, Le Caveau and Veraison who team up to show a selection of their natural wines. It is open to the trade, press and then public.
Whiskey Live – 19 – 20 May
Whiskey Live Dublin 2023, now in its tenth year, will take place in the RDS. This year’s event will be bigger than ever before with over 110 whiskey and spirit exhibitors taking part. There will be bespoke food pairings, whiskey masterclasses, The Whiskey Pop-Up Shop and the Dream Dram Bar.
Wines of Moldova Trade & Consumer Tasting – 24 May
A trade and consumer wine fair to promote Moldovan wines on the Irish market will take place in the Camden Court Hotel on 24 May. The event will include a Masterclass, with a Moldovan producer presenting a selection of wines, a wine fair and then in the evening a consumer wine event, in order to allow the consumer to taste the wines to see what their response is.
Wine Cru Tasting – 29 May
Three terrific importers are joining forces to show their wines at a portfolio tasting on Monday 29th May, 2023 in the Ballroom on the 2nd Floor in Fallon & Byrne. A selection of wines imported by Solera Wine Merchants, Celtic Whiskey/Wines on the Green and MacCormaics will be available to taste.
