eir Sport showing Ireland v New Zealand live from Chicago

eir Sport is to broadcast the Ireland v New Zealand clash on Saturday 5th November in a one-off test match to be played in Chicago’s 61,500-seater Soldier Field stadium.

The game will be at 8pm Irish time and is the first of Ireland’s Autumn test-matches. Joe Schmidt’s Ireland side will face the World Champions who once again showed their recent dominance in The Rugby Championship, winning all their games.

eir Sport is also to broadcast the much-anticipated Munster v Maori All Blacks game which takes place on Friday, 11th November, at Thomond Park. This will be the first time both sides have met in Thomond Park.

The fixtures are part of the rugby coverage on eir’s Sport pack this Autumn. Other upcoming eir content involves the European Rugby Champions Cup including Leinster’s first game on October 15th, Connacht and Ulster games in Round 2 and the double-headers in December for Leinster & Munster Rugby. The eir Sport pack also shows 69 Aviva Premiership games, Leinster Schools Rugby and every game from Women’s Rugby World Cup 2017 next Summer.

The eir Sport pack will also broadcast the Maoris All Blacks v USA Eagles as part of the AIG rugby weekend on November 4th.

“The Friday and Saturday evening kick-off times will make these games very attractive to Pubs, Hotels and Clubs,” commented eir Sport’s Head of Commercial Premises Graham Byrne.
