Bingo Loco – Outcider’s first sponsorship

Ireland’s newest cider has teamed up with Bingo Loco, “Ireland’s craziest night out” that’s changing the way we think about bingo forever.

Bingo Loco and Outcider have announced a nationwide tour taking in Dublin, Limerick, Letterkenny, Galway, Carrick, Sligo and Maynooth.

Bingo Loco involves not only ‘bingo’ but conga lines, rave rounds and dance-offs – not for your traditional bingo-loving granny then….Prizes on the nights include a lifeboat, a washing machine, a Niall Horan cut-out, a TV from the 90s, festival tickets and cash.

The two got together for the first time on Easter Sunday at the Wright Venue in Swords, County Dublin, for the first in a series of Outcider-sponsored Bingo Loco events.

90s pop sensation, B*Witched took to the stage on Easter Sunday.

Bingo Loco was born in a bingo hall in Northern Iraq in 2016 when Irish travellers William Meara and Craig Reynolds attended an underground late night bingo hall.  Following what they describe as a night of ‘unconventional bingo with more than a dash of mayhem’, they joined forces with pal Stephen Lawless. The Dublin trio came up with the idea of Bingo Loco.

“Bingo Loco is here and it’s dragging conventional bingo kicking and screaming from old, traditional venues and turning it into something frankly outrageous,” believes William Meara of Bingo Loco, “We’re bringing bingo to Ireland in a way in which it’s never been seen before and Outcider, which is also new and in-your-face, is going to help us do it.”

Outcider’s Belinda Kelly agreed.

“Bingo Loco is nuts and that’s why we love it,” she said, “It’s going to appeal to people who’re unconventional and not afraid to try things that are new and different. These are the same people who’re loving Outcider and that’s why we’ve got a perfect match going on between the two brands.”

Outcider will come to life at Bingo Loco with the presence of ‘The Outcider’, “a cool dude with sharp moves” who can be spotted at Outcider events, recognisable only by his multi-coloured ‘globe’ head. There’ll be special Outcider rounds, Outcider prizes – and Outcider on tap.
