B&F’s “Meet our Makers”

Some 100 interested parties attended Barry & Fitzwilliam’s invitation to “Come and Meet our Makers” at the Herbert Park Hotel in Ballsbridge recently.

The ‘Makers’ in question were a diverse range of Irish craft beer and cider suppliers who’d come together to offer a trade & press craft beer & cider tasting under the Barry & Fitzwilliam umbrella alongside some world beer brands.

B&F now wholesale on behalf of around 28 Irish craft beer and cider makers as well as a number of world beer brands – but now the company can also help publicans tailor their orders to ensure that craft brands from their own particular locality can also form part of the purchase in keg or bottle format.

Some 23 suppliers set up tables at the trade tasting, many of them relatively new to the craft brewing industry.

These represented around 24 counties from the 32-county IoI and one Irish craft beer supplier, Barcino, even came all the way from Barcelona where it’s based to show what brewer Noel Sheehan could produce.

The wholesaler’s approach to its fairly formidable range of craft beers out there should help greatly simplify the ordering process for the publican.
