Wine company concludes its partnership with TV personality Phillip Schofield

Spain has taken over second place from Australia for country of origin with an increased share of 14.0% from 2018’s 13.0%.

“There are no further plans to continue filling the Schofield range for future orders.”

When in Rome, a sustainable wine company, has concluded its partnership with TV personality Phillip Schofield.

Speaking to The Drinks Business, the company stated that their collaboration on Schofield’s range of Italian craft wines has naturally come to an end.

It said: “We have worked with Phillip Schofield on his range of Italian craft wines for three years and this collaboration has drawn to a natural conclusion. There are no further plans to continue filling the Schofield range for future orders.”

In 2020, it launched a collection of Italian boxed-wines in partnership with Schofield. However, in light of recent stories surrounding the alleged conduct of the former This Morning presenter, the wine collection has been removed from When in Rome’s website.

Initially introduced as a bag-in-box range in early 2020, Schofield’s Italian wine collection featured a red wine made with Nero de Troia, a white wine made with Falanghina, and a pale pink rosato produced at the Viticultori d’Italia cooperative in Soave.

Schofield became involved with When in Rome after discovering the brand during a blind tasting at Waitrose. He played a role in selecting the wines and was part of the tasting team.
