Warsteiner moves to B&F

Drinks distributor Barry & Fitzwilliam has secured the exclusive Irish distribution rights to the premium German Pilsner Brand Warsteiner across the on- and off-trades.

Warsteiner is one of Germany’s largest private breweries and the premium beer producer forms part of a beverage group producing about 4.5 million hectolitres with revenues of €519 million.

Family-owned for nine generations, Warsteiner has been brewing Pilsners since 1753 when Antonius Cramer first produced beer from his modest home brewery.

Warsteiner Premium Verum is a bright golden colour with a superbly balanced taste – a slight bitterness with notes of mild, crispy hops.

Sold in more than 60 countries including the Netherlands, Italy, the US, France, Canada, the UK and Ireland. It Warsteiner was also the founder of the premium beer category in Germany.
