Cavan-based auction house Victor Mee Auctions has announced its first sale of 2020, one that’s sure to be popular with publicans throughout Ireland - the Pub Memorabilia and Collectables Sale, scheduled to take place at the Cloverhill sale room on Wednesday 29th January at 5.30pm.

The sale will feature a wide range of Irish whiskey and tobacco mirrors as well as an authentic range of quirky 20th Century Irish collectables. One particular lot to watch out for in the Pub Memorabilia and Collectables sale is the Shamrock Whiskey advertising mirror.

Handcrafted by Kirker and Greer of Belfast in the late 1890s this mirror is one of the rarest advertising mirrors Auctioneer Victor Mee has ever seen and it’s expected to be extremely popular with bidders across the world, estimated to sell for between €5,000 and €10,000!

“Pub memorabilia has quickly become recognised as a specialised, recurring theme for us at the auction house as well as being a great passion of mine,” commented Victor Mee on the upcoming sale, “Over the last year our pub memorabilia sales have proven to be some of our most popular and we expect no less from the January sale as we’ll showcase a range of pieces featuring globally-known Irish heritage brands including Guinness, Jameson, Murphy’s, Frys and Ogdens.”
