Train & upskill at Hospitality 2012

The Hospitality industry comes together in force this February to mount a national event in the RDS which will help address the need for increased occupancy in the hotel sector, the transformation of many public houses to food service operations, the growth in Quick Service outlets and the constant change in customer demand for improved value and innovative offerings.

Hospitality 2012 (formerly Vintra) is supported by the Restaurants Association of Ireland, Fáilte Ireland, the Vintners Federation of Ireland, the Irish Hospitality Institute and the Bartenders Association of Ireland.

Features planned for the event include a working Sustainable Kitchen demonstrating the latest in fast, versatile, low-energy induction hobs and ovens; top chefs and live cooking demonstrations with practical advice on menu item choice and margins; a Training & Skills Village hosted by Fáilte Ireland and the Irish Hospitality Institute; a series of Tapas Demonstrations by Chef Martin Potts of Fáilte Ireland; the Bacardi Cocktail Competition & Academy, hosted by the Bartenders Association of Ireland and the Euro 2012 Bar with 3D Video Wall.

Visitors to the event will be able to enjoy a specially-prepared lunch in the Hospitality Restaurant in the centre of the exhibition provided by RAI member restaurants including Darwins, Pacinos and Tankardstown House.

Fáilte Ireland will provide a mini Meitheal experience where clients can book a 20 minute one-to-one session with an industry professional including chefs and service experts including JJ Healy and Martin Potts for Kitchen Management and Profitability Advice while Edward Meade will provide Front of House Service Advice.
