Boatyard launches Summer Solstice Gin
A gin inspired by Irish folklore and the magic of summer solstice, Boatyard Summer Solstice Gin celebrates the longest day of the year – a time when, according to tradition, the human and fairy worlds drew closer together, and hilltop bonfires illuminated the skies of Fermanagh.
Only 1,000 bottles of Boatyard Summer Solstice Gin have been produced and are available to purchase today as a distillery exclusive at Boatyard Distillery
On solstice night, the ashes from these fires were scattered across the fields to bless the land and encourage a plentiful harvest.
It is this rich heritage of fire, folklore, and fairies that inspired Boatyard’s latest limited release, created in collaboration with the team at Killahora Orchards.
Boatyard Summer Solstice Gin is a bright, ‘refreshing expression’ crafted for lovers of a traditional gin.
Crisp juniper takes centre stage, intertwined by delicate hydro botanicals and the flavours of the Irish hedgerow.
The finish is lifted by the addition of exceptional Rare Apple Ice Wine from Killahora Orchards in County Cork, bringing a vibrant, zesty character and a distinctive touch of Irish orchard fruit.
