This cocktail was no chicken
The Absurd Bird in Soho, a branch of The Absurd Bird fried chicken chain, offered a Porn Star Martini to its customers.
Nothing unusual in that, you might say. But this Porn Star Martini cost £400.
The chain itself claimed that its offering – the ‘Orgy Martini Experience’ – was “the UK’s biggest porn star martini” and large enough for four sharing.
Still.
£400?
Of course there was more. For there was also the chance that the prospective purchaser(s) might be joined by one of two real-life porn stars in the flesh, for the cocktail had not been given the bird by porn stars Barbi or Drew – depending on your proclivity – who were on hand for customers during the whole of February.
So popular was this offer that the outlet could only take bookings by e-mail – Oh and the prices started from £400, by the way!
This Soho branch of the chain sits cheek-by-jowl with the first-ever strip club in Soho, Paul Raymond’s Review Bar, opened in 1958.

Barbi & Drew. Absurd Bird’s Porn Star duo were the drop-in guests with a difference for the month.
