Tequila Masterclass led by expert to take place in Cork
This May, The Algiers, Baltimore, invites guests to a rare and refined Tequila Masterclass led by Bill Hillyard, co-owner and craft cocktail expert, on Sunday, 18 May at 7pm.
Bill is a lifelong tequila aficionado and recent graduate of an intensive master class in Tequila production in Tequila, Jalisco, Mexico.
He will guide attendees through a tasting journey of elevated, rare, and terroir-driven Tequilas — some of which are unavailable anywhere else in Ireland.
“Tequila is not just a party shot – it’s the only spirit in the world where you can truly taste the terroir,” says Bill. “This is about craftsmanship, culture, and flavour at the highest level.”

Bill Hillyard, co-owner and cocktail craft expert, will host a Tequila master class in Cork this May.
Guests will explore a curated selection of premium tequilas:
- Amantiteña – two distinct terroirs, not available in Ireland
- Fortaleza – Blanco and Reposado
- Siempre Añejo
- El Rey Sol Extra Añejo – a true luxury expression
Each tequila has been chosen for its purity, artisanal methods, and ability to highlight how geography, altitude, and tradition shape flavour.
Bill will also share insights from his mezcal masterclass in Oaxaca, offering further context on agave-based spirits.
Mexican-inspired nibbles will be served alongside the tasting.
With only a limited number of spaces available, this intimate session is West Cork’s first event of its kind, set within the region’s only dedicated craft cocktail bar.
This is an opportunity for spirits lovers and curious sippers to redefine their understanding of tequila in a warm, relaxed setting.
Time: 7pm
Location: The Algiers, Baltimore, West Cork
Tickets: €35 (limited spaces)
If BlackBerry can keep moving forward on improving what I call the best operating system on the market, things will fall into place along side Mr. Chen’s plans. Somehow the perception has to change. Nothing does that better than a CEO who listens to its customers. So far, Mr Chen is doing just that.
I don’t know but I have doubt on the marketing. How come z30 never came in Irish market and also z10 disappeared so quickly. How these things work, can anyone explain to me :/. And I adore my BlackBerry z10 🙂
