Teeling wins 8 Golds

Teeling Whiskey won six Gold Medals as well as a Masters title for its premium Small Batch Teeling Whiskey at the annual 2017 Irish Whiskey Masters, held in London recently. 

Teeling Small Batch is the company’s flagship whiskey, sold in over 50 countries worldwide and it follows up Teeling Small Batch Blend taking home the ‘Best in Class’ award at the 2016 Irish Whiskey Awards.

In total, Teeling won eight gold medals in international spirits competitions in July bringing to 116 the number of awards won by Teeling Whiskey over the last four years.

Teeling also won awards at the 2017 International Wine & Spirits Competition and the International Spirits Competition which took place earlier in the year, with the Teeling Single Malt landing a Gold in both competitions to go with an overall haul of 24 medals won for the company’s whiskey portfolio in 2017 so far.

Based in Newmarket, Dublin 8, the Teeling Whiskey Distillery opened its doors in June 2015, heralding the revival of distilling in the City as the first new distillery in Dublin in over 125 years.

It recently announced a €500,000 expansion of the distillery. Significant investment has been made over the last few years, building its new distillery as well as laying down maturing whiskey stocks – the first batch of which comes of age in 2018.
