Sausage Tree lands into Irish trade

Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka, the second major brand from The Shed Distillery of PJ Rigney, has landed in bars, restaurants & off-licences across the country.

This time the quest to create nature’s purest-tasting vodka led The Curious Mind of PJ Rigney to wildest Africa’s “Sausage Tree”.

Known for its curative & purifying powers, just like the wild Irish nettle in the Drumshanbo woodlands, PJ brought the two together back in The Shed Distillery in Drumshanbo, Co Leitrim and slow-distilled them by hand with Irish grain.

Following on from the phenomenal global success of Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin, Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka has already struck a chord with the drinks industry internationally.

First revealed to the world at the Prowein Drinks Fair in Germany last March, advance orders were instant, beginning with The Ukraine, France & Russia with the rest quickly following suit.

Sausage Tree Pure Irish Vodka may soon join Drumshanbo in leading international markets but the home market, however, is the priority for the brand and Ireland is the first market in which the super-premium vodka has gone live.  As with Drumshanbo, Sausage Tree will be distributed in Ireland by Dalcassian Wines & Spirits (which PJ co-owns with Managing Director John Dillon).

Every bottle of Sausage Tree is hand-bottled, sealed and labelled at The Shed Distillery.
