Pre-tax profits down again at Dillon’s
Pre-tax profits fell again at wine & spirits distributor Edward Dilllon & Co, from just over €1 million to €976,000 in the year to the 30th of September 2020 according to the company's annual report lodged with the Companies Registration Office.
Turnover at the wine & spirits distributor was down just 7.5% in the year to the 30th of September 2020.
In the year to the 30th of September 2018 this figure had been €1.05 million.
A Gross Profit of €5.4 million, down 13.8% on the previous year’s €6.3 million, was declared on a turnover itself down 7.5% to €55.3 million from €59.8 million.
Staffing costs were reduced during the year by 8.7% from €3.2 million to just under €3 million for the 27 sales & distribution staff (down from 29) and 10 Admin staff.
