Paul Moynihan new VFI President
Paul runs a family pub, Moynihan’s in Donard in rural County Wicklow and takes over the VFI role from outgoing President Padraic McGann from Monivea in County Galway.
Paul was appointed President at the VFI’s recent AGM which took place online against the backdrop of the ongoing closure of the country’s pubs. Speaking to delegates, the new President said his only role in the short-term is to get pubs reopened.
Paul’s the third generation of his family to run Moynihan’s, his grandfather having purchased the premises in the 1940s.
