To celebrate its sponsorship of the O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey Leopardstown Chase, taking place on Sunday, 4 February at Dublin Racing Festival, O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey will be offering a race day package to customers across the weekend. The offering will include an O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey Paddy Cap, Tote Bag and Hot Toddy sample, with 50% of the proceeds being donated to the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund.

The Irish Injured Jockeys Fund was set up in 2014 to increase awareness and raise vital funds to support injured jockeys. Public awareness is a top priority for the fund in order to draw attention to the urgent need of care for injured riders.

Michael Higgins, general manager, Irish Injured Jockeys Fund, said: “We are very grateful to Michael Stafford and the team at O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey for thinking of the Irish Injured Jockeys Fund on what will be their first time not only sponsoring this prestigious race but indeed sponsoring a National Hunt race.”

Michael Stafford, owner of Stafford Bonded and MD of O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey, said: “The adventurous spirit of O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey was founded on the O’Driscoll pirate ships off the South coast of Ireland, and we are delighted to bring this brave and daring spirit onto the racecourse and the bars around the racecourse where Dublin Racing Festival racegoers will be able to sip and sample O’Driscolls Irish Whiskey over the weekend. We wanted to make our mark on this, our first horse racing event and at the same time help the worthy cause that is IIJF.”
