New beer celebrates Bohemian Rhapsody

Queen have released their own beer to celebrate the 40th anniversary of their biggest hit single 'Bohemian Rhapsody'.

Queen Bohemian Lager is a hand-crafted Pilsner lager brewed in the Kingdom of Bohemia, Czech Republic and has four key ingredients: soft water from source, Czech Moravian Malt, Nobel Saaz Hops and yeast from the Protovin Brewery, all brewed by the Czech Brewmaster of the Year 2014 Michal Voldrich.

The beer is produced by the traditional Czech method of Bottom Fermentation and has a minimum cellar maturation period of 35 days using open fermentation vats and horizontal layering to produce an original Bohemian Pilsner Lager.

The Queen crest, originally designed by Freddie Mercury while a student at Ealing Art College, features on the label which also features the iconic cover from the original single of the same name.

Barry & Fitwilliam has been appointed Irish agents for the beer and it’s available here in a 6-pack of 4.7%ABV 33cl bottles, retailing for between €12.49 and €12.99.
