Molloys pre-tax profits down

Turnover at Molloy Holdings, the company behind the Molloy’s Off-Licence chain and Molloy’s Bar & Grill in Tallaght, was marginally up on the previous financial year in the 12 months to 31st January 2019 according to filings lodged with the Companies Office.
The Molloy Group made an Operating Loss of €17,645 the year compared to an Operating Profit of €158,184 in the previous year.

Turnover at Molloy Holdings, the company behind the Molloy’s Off-Licence chain and Molloy’s Bar & Grill in Tallaght, was marginally up to €17.3 million on the previous financial year’s turnover of €17 million in the 12 months to 31st January 2019 according to filings lodged with the Companies Office.

However pre-tax profits at the company were only €20,548 as against €289,005 the year previously (which were down 52% on 2017).

The company made an Operating Loss of €17,645 during the year compared to an Operating Profit of €158,184 in the previous year through heavier distribution costs and administrative expenses.

During the year average monthly staff numbers increased 4% to 109 from 105 while staff costs rose by 6% to €3,177,111 from €2,988,952.

Emoluments for Molloy Holdings’ Directors Kevin, Helen & Richard Molloy as well as Helen Murray rose slightly from €154,178 to €157,387.
