Mayoman Kieran to become Beam’s Irish Whiskey Ambassador in US

The 2 Gingers brand of Irish whiskey founded by Mayoman Kieran Folliard is to join Beam Inc’s Irish Whiskey portfolio while Kieran Folliard, who’s been resident in Minnesota for the past 25 years, will become Beam’s Chief Irish Whiskey Ambassador in the US.

Beam entered the fast-growing Irish Whiskey category with the acquisition of the Cooley Whiskey Distillery and its Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell, Greenore and Tyrconnell brands.

Beam is the second-largest spirits company in the US and Kieran, originally from Ballyhaunis in Mayo, has grown his Irish pub business in Minnesota into one of the largest Irish Whiskey accounts in the world, according to Beam.

He sold his stake in the pub business in 2011 to focus on developing the 2 Gingers brand, a twice-distilled whiskey made in Beam’s Kilbeggan Distilling Company. In his new role as Chief Operating Officer of 2 GINGERS and Chief Ambassador of Kilbeggan Distilling Company, Kieran will travel throughout the US to market, promote and drive growth for Beam’s entire Irish Whiskey portfolio. In addition, he’ll be taking an active role in the development of the experience between the American customer base and the Kilbeggan Distillery and Visitor Centre in Westmeath.

2 Gingers is named after Kieran’s red-haired mother and aunt.
