Johnnie Fox’s sees 36% profits rise

One of the country’s most famous pubs Johnnie Fox’s in the Dublin mountains saw profits increase 36% to €94,880 in the year to 31st March 2017 from €62,839 the previous year.

According to an Abridged Statement of its Financial Position from the pub’s directors Tony and Geraldine McMahon, the bar employs 48 staff, down one from the previous year, which comprises 19 bar staff, eight management staff (up one), six admin staff (down one) and 13 restaurant staff (down one). It also employs two Stock Room staff.

Altogether the 48 staff cost the pub €1.88 million in wages and salaries, up from the previous year’s €1.87 million.

The two directors took remuneration of €160,000, up from the previous year’s €123,000 figure.
