Guinness Mid-Strength now in 750 outlets

Following a phased roll-out, Guinness Mid-Strength is now available in 750 pubs across the RoI and NI markets.

The low alcohol alternative pint is brewed in exactly the same way as regular 4.2 per cent Guinness with the same key ingredients to ensure the same distinctive quality and taste, states Diageo Ireland. The only difference is the lower alcohol content – 2.8 per cent.

Guinness has also launched the ‘Guinness Mid-Strength Taste Test’ in support of the roll-out, a nationwide promotion inviting consumers to blind-taste a complimentary Guinness and Guinness Mid-Strength in small sample cups to see if they can taste the difference. Consumers can now walk into any pub stocking it and ask for the Guinness Mid-Strength Taste Test. The roll-out is also being supported with in-pub POS, PR and a strong Above The Line campaign.
