Food & Bev Live 2020 set for February

Food & Bev Live will be kick-starting the 2020 hospitality season next February 4th & 5th in Citywest, Dublin.

Food & Bev Live attracts thousands of visitors and brings together National skills finals, live demonstrations, new product launches and unique networking opportunities.

The Irish Foodservice Suppliers Alliance, the organisation behind Catex, states that the show will be bursting with new features and industry-specific attractions that will serve-up inspirational solutions for Ireland’s foodservice and hospitality sectors.

The show has been building in stature over the past few years and now offers visitors innovative ideas, new products, technology and the business advice they need to grow their business in the year ahead.

Food & Bev Live 2020 will also play host to competitions including the National Barista Championship, Chef Ireland Culinary Competition and the Bartenders Association of Ireland-hosted Irish Cocktail Championship.

“Food & Bev Live has a proud tradition of demonstrating the future of hospitality and 2020 will be no different,” according to Declan Byrne of the Bartenders Association of Ireland who comments that the National Cocktail Championships will see Ireland’s finest mixologists compete to be named National Champion and earn their place to represent Ireland at the World Cocktail Championship.

New for 2020, Food & Bev Live will host Ireland’s first National Pizza Championship in association with the Associazione Pizzerie Italiane where chefs from across Ireland will battle it out to be crowned National Pizza Champion.

Also new for the February show, Food & Bev Live has partnered with The European Tea Society, bringing the first-ever national qualifying round of the Tea Masters Cup to Ireland. The competitions will take place in the European Tea Pavilion, a fresh addition to the two-day expo.

The theme for 2020 will be Innovation for a sustainable future and championing best practice within the industry, sustainability will play a central role at the show.

In a first the IFSA has also launched the inaugural Irish Foodservice Supplier Awards designed to acknowledge product and service innovation within the foodservice industry.

The awards have been created to shine a light on suppliers at the forefront of industry’s response to the environmental crisis.
