Embassy of Romania to showcase Romanian Wine in Dublin

The Embassy of Romania in Ireland in partnership with Atlasul Vinului Românesc (The Atlas of Romanian Wine) will be holding a Romania Wine Tasting on 28 November to showcase the diversity and quality of Romanian wines

Venue:    Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland (RCSI) Stephens Green, D2.

Time:      18:30 – 20:30

With 180,000 ha under vine, in recent years Romanian wines have generated great interest from global wine buyers due to their quality and affordable prices.  Many of Romania’s producers are small boutique producers. This November, thirty-five wineries will showcase their wines featuring indigenous varieties such as Fetească Neagră, Fetească Regală, Fetească Albă, Băbească Neagră, and Șarba.  Nobel European red and white grapes are also widely planted will also feature. Irish importers and distributors will be invited to join the Romanian producers and the trade representatives for a tasting of their wines.

Romanian wine expert Iulian Bărbuceanu author of “Atlasul Vinului Românesc” (The Atlas of Romanian Wine), one of the most committed and dedicated promoters of Romanian wines, is the main Embassy partner for this event.

Other key figures from the Romanian wine industry who will be attending the event, include Mihai Ciucur (Romanian Sommelier of the Year 2023), Eduard Jakab, Lorand Antal, Irinel Macici, Betty Darabont WSET Dip and Ana Sapungiu MW.

The Romanian Wine Tasting Event will also celebrate Romania’s National Day 2023 in Dublin.
