DrinkWell launches in Ireland
DrinkWell has recently announced its official launch in Ireland. Its mission is to offer full-flavour alcoholic beverages that align with health-conscious lifestyles. It brings its extensive range of products to Irish consumers looking for a lighter way to enjoy a drink.
DrinkWell has been involved in the ‘better for you’ (BFY) alcohol movement, providing options that cater to those mindful of their sugar, carb, and calorie intake.
Commitment to health and quality
DrinkWell’s products are crafted using innovative harvesting and fermentation techniques, resulting in naturally lower sugar and calorie content.
This approach benefits not only those looking to maintain a healthy weight but also individuals with dietary considerations such as diabetes or following a keto diet. Every product on the website clearly displays the alcohol volume, calories, carbs and sugars.
Tom Bell, Drinkwell founder believes that reduced calorie wine is becoming increasingly popular across Europe as we’re growing more health-conscious. “This category is a multi-billion-dollar category in the US, gathering huge momentum in the UK through DrinkWell and we can’t wait to kickstart our journey in Ireland,” he says.
“We’re committed to educating people on the options available, so they can still enjoy their favourite drink, without compromising on flavour or quality.
“While most low- or no-alcohol drinks are marketed as a healthy option, they can actually be full of additives, flavourings and with huge increases in sugars to try and replicate a familiar taste. That’s where our lighter options differ. Our wines are produced in some of the world’s most reputable wine-producing regions, but, due to grape harvesting methods, are naturally zero sugar and lower in calories than their full-calorie counterparts.
“The innovative harvesting and wine-making process naturally reduces the calories while ensuring the taste is just as good as the full-calorie alternative,” he explains.
An independent survey by Insight Sherpas identified that among those who consume wine two or more times per week, 79% are very interested in purchasing BFY wines. In contrast, only 18% of this group showed the same level of interest in low-/no-alcohol wines.
