Coisbo wins with Eleven
The competition at the National Convention Centre boasted 469 beers from 24 countries across the globe.
Coisbo’s unique Russian-style Imperial Stout matured in sherry barrels impressed the panel of international judges including the Head judge Dr Inge Russell, Editor of the Journal of the Institute of Brewing, who said that while all the gold-awarded beers they judged were very good, “there was one that easily floated to the top”.
The brewery was also awarded a silver medal on the last day of the competition for its first cider, Apple Pie Cider.
Coisbo’s award-winning beers and ciders are distributed here by the Rye River Brewing Company.
“We’re delighted to have Coisbo as a partner and to be able to distribute this award-winning beer and cider to our trade partners and customers across Ireland,” said Alan Wolfe, Co-Founder of the Rye River Brewing Company, “Interest in craft beers has taken a significant jump in the last couple of years and Irish craft beer drinkers are looking for well-crafted brews which Coisbo provides in abundance!”
