Bloom time for new drinks producers

Several new drinks are being launched at this year’s Bloom Festival which runs from this Thursday, the 31st May, to Monday the 4th of June with The Bloom Inn featuring 24 Irish drink producers, 10 more than last year.

Included among the new product launches are Glendalough Distillery’s ‘Ginteresting’ series of Summer botanical gins, while forager Geraldine Kavanagh will be on hand to explain how she carefully finds and selects the wild botanicals.

Other new products at the event include:

* Ballykeefe Distillery in Kilkenny and Pearse Lyons Distillery in Dublin

* Sliabh Liag, currently building the first whiskey distillery in Donegal in 170 years

* Bayview Beverages will launch a cold brew coffee and whiskey drink called Black Twist

* Kinsale Meadery with Kinsale Mead

* Muff Liquour Co with Muff Gin

* Dundalk Bay Brewing Company with its range of craft beers.
