Bet the thieves couldn’t contain themselves!
The pricey artifact had been lent to Café 33 in Copenhagen and the owners fully expected to get it back from the bar-owner.
However thieves who broke into the secured cellar of the trendy premises the day after New Year’s Day had other plans and made off with the huge – and heavy – leather, white and yellow gold and silver vodka container with a diamond-encrusted replica of the Russian Imperial Eagle on the cap.
However, lacking the spirit of intelligence, they drank the vodka (worth approximately €5.65) and dumped the bottle, manufactured to celebrate the Centenary of the Russo-Baltique luxury Russian car manufacturer, on a nearby building site.
The “world’s most expensive bottle of vodka” was found (minus the vodka) three days later.
