Belvedere was born of rye, water and character in 1993 in Zyrardow, Poland, a small town 45 kilometres from Warsaw. It was the first to generate a new standard for excellence in vodka and established the luxury vodka category. Over 600 years of Polish vodka-making tradition have brought us to today where our vodka reflects that heritage.
Today, Belvedere’s distinctive character and uncompromising integrity have been recognised internationally by discriminating vodka enthusiasts who appreciate its all-natural, additive-free character.
Every aspect, every element and every step of our vodka-making embraces quality and innovation: from the use of our signature Dankowskie ryes and our very own artesian water to our expert distillation process and our iconic bottle design – a symbol of luxury and craftsmanship recognised all over the world – Belvedere’s taste profile is distinctively soft with a subtle sweetness and smooth, clean finish.
From seed to bottle Belvedere is a product of its environment and we work relentlessly to protect, realise and advance our understanding of each ingredient that goes into the creation of our vodka. Belvedere’s success is owed in no small part to our agricultural partners who consistently deliver raw ingredients of an exceptional standard. Our strong collaborative partnerships with our farmers, agricultural distillers and technical universities contributed to the creation of Belvedere Unfiltered in 2009.
Our desire for progression and modernity is the momentum that drives us upwards. Therefore we’re delighted to announce our ‘Naturally the Best with Belvedere’ Spritz Challenge.
Naturally the Best with Belvedere
In our new and innovative spritz competition to engage creative bartenders nationwide we’ll be showcasing the natural integrity of Belvedere Vodka in an exciting format.
The Belvedere spritz, faithful to the traditional spritz recipe, is an effervescent cocktail which can be served as an aperitif. The garnishes and choice of Belvedere vodka make it a naturally refreshing and delicious drink.
All recipes are built according to the same principle: Belvedere vodka and a naturally flavoured modifier, topped with sparkling water, tonic water and 2-3 fresh garnishes.
We’re challenging Irish bartenders to create a signature Belvedere spritz by putting their own delicious twist on this classic. Showcasing their flavour awareness bartenders should highlight the delicate aromas and refreshing effervescence of their spritz using quality ingredients while keeping it naturally simple.
Alan Kavanagh (Training and Advocacy Manager at Belvedere and Edward Dillon & Company), along with the Belvedere team, will be hosting the Belvedere Vodka Masterclass and tasting followed by the regional heats of the ‘Naturally the Best Spritz Challenge’ in Dublin, Cork and Galway throughout the month of May.
Alan and the Belvedere team will select four of the best-tasting Belvedere spritz from each region to compete in the ‘Naturally the Best’ grand final in Dublin in June.
The bartender who creates the overall best-tasting spritz from the grand final will win the ultimate prize of an incredible trip to the 14th annual Tales of the Cocktail festival in New Orleans this July.
