April H1 online alcohol sales up 19%

Mid-pandemic online alcohol sales rose by 19% in the fortnight from the 1st of April to the 14th of April this year compared to the 9th of December to the 22nd of December fortnight pre-Christmas in 2019 according to figures from online Dublin marketing agency Wolfgang Digital.

 

“People are stocking up, but not placing huge value orders,” claims Wolfgang Digital.

“An interesting finding is that people are placing more orders but of lower value,” a spokesperson for the company observed to Drinks Industry Ireland, “Meaning people are stocking up, but not placing huge value orders.”
