Wicklow on the double!

A special bottling of Fercullen Irish whiskey is to be the first of a ‘Distillery Select’ series, hand-chosen by the team at the Powerscourt Distillery and exclusively available online from its website as well as in store at the Distillery shop.

 

 

Fercullen Single Grain, finished in an Imperial Stout-infused cask, is a 10-year-old 49% ABV single grain Irish whiskey, finished for one-and-a-half years in two barrels which previously held 12.12.20 Imperial Stout from The Wicklow Brewery in Redcross, County Wicklow.

This Distillery-exclusive release is limited to just 552 bottles, so it’s strictly one €95 bottle per person.

Nose: Freshly whipped cream, latte coffee, sticky toffee pudding with a hint of Orange bitters.

Taste: Mouth-coating oils and cream with forest fruits and a malty biscuit note as the stout influence becomes more apparent.

Finish: Mouth-coating and sweet with warming fruity spice.
