Wetherspoon to begin building at Tonic on Monday
The Watford-based company is renaming the premises The ThreeTun Tavern and hopes to be open for business by July 8th.
The company is investing €1.5 million in developing the site in addition to the €1.5 million purchase price paid and the Blackrock enterprise is expected to create 60 full- and part-time jobs, according to the company.
John Hartigan, who has worked for Wetherspoon for the past 13 years and is currently General Manager at one if its London pubs, will manage the new venture.
Born in Kerry and raised in Dartry, he’s worked in England for the past 30 years.
