SuperValu’s beer and wine sales up

Grocery retailer SuperValu gained considerable share in the off-trade beer and wine market in the year to 24th March according to Kantar Worldpanel’s Total Take Home Alcohol year-on-year figures which show SuperValu’s share of the beer and wine market growing from 23.9% to 26.1%.

All other multiples, with the exception of Dunnes, lost share in the alcohol market during this time.

Dunnes’ share grew slightly from 17.0% to 17.2% while Tesco fell from 26.3% to 25.5% and Aldi fell from 10.8% to 10.2%.
